Russcarb is a refractory insulation product capable of withstandingtemperatures of up 3000ºC
Russcarb is based on high purity rayon fibres which have been carbonised mixed with proprietary resins and vacuum formed into boards. The boards then go through a process polymerisation and drying. They are then carbonised followed by a final heat treatment to between 2000ºC and 2700ºC depending the process application.
Applications :
Vacuum heat treatment.
Vacuum brazing.
Hard metal sintering.
Vacuum and controlled
atmosphere sintering
Typical Users :
PM alloys and powder production under controlled atmospheres
Engineering and automotive
Aerospace heat treatment organizations
Russcarb board has excellent machining properties. Tight process control ensures a homogeneous board with excellent thermal properties resulting in improved hot zone temperature uniformity and hence furnace control. Thermal properties may be further enhanced by the application of a graphite foil coating.
From the smallest to the largest Russcarb delivers.
